Description
Designed by local multidisciplinary creative house Studio K, Nobu Hotel Chicago blends Japanese design principles with natural materials. Inside the lobby is a large kintsugi fixture inspired by the traditional Japanese art of repairing broken pottery with gold, rendering an even more exquisite new piece. Nobu Chicago restaurant’s main dining room showcases a sculpture of over 20,000 gold leaves, handmade and connected by wire. The sculpture was influenced by fall foliage, a major event in Japan that inspires many culinary events and products.
